Public Art Strategy - Lead artist

Lead artist and project manager within public realm, education and summer festivals.

This case study, the Rhynes Art Project 'Revealing the hidden', was based on a successful public art strategy devised in response to a large council estate and its community in Weston-Super-Mare. Mike selected nine artists who could fulfill the brief of revealing the hidden qualities of the estate, its people and place, to bring visual identity to an unresponsive environment. It resulted in site-specific street furniture, landmark sculpture, and a cycle-route and walkway punctuated by original artwork.
